Support
groups, for some families, are imperative to the healthy and
rigorous education of a home schooled student. Although support
groups differ from one another, they all tend to provide the
friendship, camaraderie and educational outlets that children and
parents alike enjoy. Indiana

Community, Culture, and Service
The DFW Blackboard group focuses on enhancing the un/homeschool
experience for children of African descent by accomplishing 4 goals:
by providing an environment for communicating helpful info and loving
support online, by organizing cultural field trips that help create a
sense of pride and self awareness (as well as an awareness of other
people of color), to assist in the recognition of a "world community"
through community service. activities, and to foster a sense of
"extended family" through playdates/healthy-potlucks/etc. DFW
BLACKBOARD is a spirit filled yet secular list/group that accepts,
celebrates, and respects members of all religious faiths. Join Us!!

The face of
homeschooling is changing. Whether you're a two-parent family trying to
make it on one income, a working mom, a single parent, dealing with a
child with special needs, or somewhere in-between, we all have something
to share. We all need a haven.
